Recreational vehicle sales increased by 38% YOY in August in China

In recent years, recreational vehicle market has developed rapidly. However, influenced by the epidemic, the sales volume of recreational vehicles decreased from April to July 2022. In August, the recreational vehicle market showed an increase trend due to the effective control of epidemic.

In August 2022, the sales volume of recreational vehicles in China were 1,292 units, a month-on-month increase of 10.33, and a year-on-year increase of 38%. The total sales of recreational vehicles from January to August were 7,618 units, down by 7% YOY.

The reasons for the increase in sales volume of recreational vehicles in August are the efficient control of epidemic and the peak season of travel during the month.

In August and January-August 2022, the sales volume of C-type RVs accounted for 59.9% and 70.1%, respectively, occupying the dominant position in the RV market in August and January-August respectively.
