Yuchai Participated in the With Chinese Commercial Counsellor to ASEAN

On September 25, the "Face-to-face Exchange Meeting with the Chinese Commercial Counsellor to ASEAN" hosted by the Department of Commerce of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and the Secretariat of China-ASEAN Expo was held in Nanning, Guangxi. Wu Guoquan, Minister Counselor of the Commercial Office of the Chinese Embassy in Vietnam, Zhao Wenyu, Commercial Counselor of the Commercial Office of the Chinese Embassy in Laos, Zhong Jie, Commercial Counselor of the Commercial Office of the Chinese Embassy in Cambodia, and Fu Jinming, member of the Party Leadership Group of the Department of Commerce of Guangxi and full-time deputy director of the Guangxi Anti-smuggling Office, attended the meeting. Yuchai was invited to exchange experiences in going overseas.

The theme of this exchange meeting is "Openness and Progress, New Opportunities for Cooperation with ASEAN under the New Situation". It aims to use the platform of the China-ASEAN Expo to provide enterprises with opportunities to understand the China-ASEAN cooperation mechanism, economic and trade, humanities and other fields of information consultation, and accelerate the promotion of the coordinated development of Guangxi and ASEAN to a new level.

Yuchai shared its typical experience of "setting sail to the sea, Yuchai's overseas development presses the 'fast forward button'" at the exchange meeting. As China's earliest engine exporter, Yuchai has exported its products to Southeast Asia since the early 1960s. In recent years, Yuchai has accelerated its internationalization pace with the help of Guangxi's geographical advantages, product advantages and channel advantages, and has become a pioneer in the expansion of the ASEAN market. At present, Yuchai's exports to ASEAN have increased to more than 20,000 units per year. In addition, Yuchai has also worked with its partners to go overseas to help build major global projects and important events such as the Jakarta-Bandung High-Speed ​​Railway in Indonesia and the Qatar World Cup, winning wide acclaim. In August this year, Yuchai's Thailand factory was put into production and the Vietnam factory was laid, marking a major breakthrough in Yuchai's construction of a cross-border industrial chain and supply chain.

Nearly 200 people from delegations from provinces such as Guizhou, Jilin, and Hebei, as well as the Malaysia-China Chamber of Commerce, the Penang Importers and Exporters Association of Malaysia, and important institutions and corporate leaders in and outside the region attended the meeting.
