On September 11, President Rajoelina of the Republic of Madagascar, who came to China to attend the Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation, and his delegation visited the Beijing headquarters of Foton Motor. At the China-Africa Cooperation Forum held recently, the two countries expressed that they will continue to explore the cooperation potential in the fields of renewable energy, industrial transformation, agricultural modernization, etc. This visit is not only a recognition of Foton Motor's influence in the African market, but also a reflection of the deepening of China-Africa cooperation.

President Rajoelina took the Foton Auman hydrogen fuel intercity bus, Auman pure electric city bus and school bus respectively, and spoke highly of the comfort of the vehicles and Foton Motor's latest achievements in intelligent manufacturing, new energy and public transportation. At the China-Madagascar Economic Development Roundtable, President Rajoelina pointed out that Madagascar, as an important fulcrum from the Pacific and Indian Oceans to the African continent, is a bridge and link between China and Africa in jointly building the “Belt and Road”, and has great potential for the development of the commercial vehicle market. Chang Rui, Chairman of Foton Motor, said that under the framework of high-quality joint construction of the “Belt and Road” and the China-Africa Cooperation Forum, Foton Motor is willing to work with Madagascar to comprehensively strengthen strategic cooperation in the field of green transportation, and is committed to promoting the green transformation and upgrading of its public transportation, so as to make greater contributions to enhancing China-Madagascar friendship and helping Madagascar’s modernization process.
