Yuchai Thailand Factory Officially Started Production

On August 20, Yuchai Power System (Thailand) Co., Ltd. in Samutprakarn, Thailand, officially opened amid great anticipation. This is Yuchai's first overseas factory and an important milestone in Yuchai's internationalization strategy. It marks an important step for Yuchai to further develop in overseas markets and will inject new impetus into the global market, especially the Southeast Asian market.
Xie Jieren, Vice Chairman of Charoen Pokphand Group, Dai Hongkai, Vice President of Supply Chain of BAIC Foton Overseas Business Unit, Luo Ming, Vice President of World Group, Zhu Linjun, General Manager of World Agricultural Machinery, Li Hui, Chairman of Sany Heavy Industry (Thailand), Gan Mengfei, General Manager of Zoomlion Heavy Industry (Thailand), Xiang Dongsheng, General Manager of Liugong Asia Pacific Region, Li Hanyang, Chairman of Yuchai Co., Ltd., and Wu Qiwei, President of Yuchai Co., Ltd. attended the event.
At the opening ceremony, Yuchai's senior leaders, representatives of important partners such as Foton and World, and guests from all walks of life witnessed this historic moment. Yuchai Machinery Power System (Thailand) Co., Ltd. mainly produces diesel engines, natural gas engines, new energy power and other products. The first batch of products put into production include three series: K08, S06 and S04. The subsequent annual production capacity will be expanded to 30,000 units, which can produce Yuchai 2-liter to 11-liter series products.
As one of China's earliest engine export companies, Yuchai has been exporting products to Southeast Asia since the early 1960s. In the past half century, Yuchai's internationalization has been accelerating, especially in the past decade. Thanks to the open cooperation policy between China and ASEAN countries, Yuchai has fully utilized its geographical advantages, product advantages and channel advantages to become a pioneer in ASEAN market expansion. In 2004, Yuchai's exports to ASEAN were only 400 units, but in recent years it has grown to more than 20,000 units per year, accounting for an important share of Yuchai's overseas sales. At present, Yuchai has established 21 overseas offices and 495 service agents around the world, with a product inventory of more than 680,000 units.
In the new era, Yuchai regards the Thai factory as an important starting point for its globalization strategy, and will further strengthen cooperation with important partners such as Beiqi Foton, enhance product competitiveness, and expand the Southeast Asian market. Through this strategic layout, Yuchai's product share in overseas markets will be greatly increased, especially in the ASEAN region, further consolidating and expanding market space, and laying a solid foundation for global business growth.
Today, the first K08 engine in the Thailand factory officially rolled off the production line and was delivered to customers, marking the official launch of the global market blueprint jointly mapped out by Yuchai and its partners.
Li Hanyang said that the opening of Yuchai's Thailand factory is a reflection of Yuchai's pursuit, goal and business philosophy. Yuchai adheres to the "1235" strategic goal, achieves annual sales of 1 million engines, and remains unwavering in its goal of becoming a world-class power system supplier; it remains unwavering in its insistence on the two tracks of new energy power and traditional power; it remains unwavering in its work policy of being comprehensive, innovative and strong. In the future, Yuchai will adhere to the principle of gradual progress and small steps, invest in the Thailand factory in three phases, build a world-class factory with an annual production capacity of more than 50,000 units, radiate Southeast Asian countries, and help customers succeed.
