YUCHAI and RRPS Signed a Cooperation for the Second Phase of the Project

In the height of summer, July is the time when everything is growing and flourishing. On July 31, Yuchai Antuyou reached a new important milestone: Yuchai and Rolls-Royce Power signed a cooperation agreement for the Yuchai Antuyou Phase II project at Liyuan Villa in Nanning, jointly expanding the R&D, production and sales business and scale, and opening up a broader market. Dr. Jǒrg Stratmann, CEO of Rolls-Royce Power Systems, Li Hanyang, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Yuchai Group, and other leaders attended the signing ceremony to witness this extraordinary "highlight moment" together.
 
Yuchai and RRPS became acquainted in 2014. In April of that year, the RRPS team visited Yuchai for the first time across the ocean, and the two sides held preliminary discussions on cooperation intentions.

In the following two years, the teams of both sides frequently visited and communicated with each other, and did a lot of work to promote the project, including market research, expert consultation, investigation and demonstration, business negotiation, etc., overcame many difficulties such as institutional conflicts and cultural conflicts, and finally reached a cooperation agreement. In January 2017, the joint venture company Yuchai Anteyou was officially established in Yulin, Guangxi. On April 9, 2018, the first MTU brand 4000 series engine produced by Yuchai Anteyou was born in Yulin. This product, which started in sync with the world, filled the gap in the power segment of China's high-end high-speed diesel engines above 1400kW. It is an outstanding product of the strong alliance of global internal combustion engine manufacturers, and has laid a solid foundation for both parties to work together to open up domestic and foreign markets.

Since its establishment, Yuchai Anteyou has created one milestone after another, and its products have been highly recognized by customers in the application of high-end power generation market. The company's products are currently in a leading position in the fields of data center backup power supply, semiconductor factory emergency power supply, etc. The average annual growth rate of Yuchai Anteyou engine production and sales volume and sales revenue exceeded 35%, achieving leapfrog development. In March 2024, the 2,000th engine of Yuchai Anteyou rolled off the production line, achieving a leap from zero to one, and then to two thousand. This important milestone demonstrates the confidence and determination of Yuchai and RRPS to jointly promote the sustainable development of the joint venture.

Ten years of cultural integration, ten years of strategic coordination, ten years of ups and downs, the communication and cooperation between Yuchai and RRPS have truly achieved efficient decision-making, openness and mutual trust, and complementary advantages, becoming a model of Sino-foreign joint venture cooperation in the industry.

Like-minded and sincere treatment will surely give birth to more colorful and dazzling flowers of cooperation. The successful cooperation between Yuchai and RRPS over the past ten years has quietly sprouted a strong desire to further deepen cooperation. In particular, in the face of the increasingly hot domestic and foreign markets, the two parties have decided to work together after discussion to expand the second phase of the cooperation project, adding new production lines and new products based on Yuchai Anteyou's existing products, and embracing a wider market.

According to the agreement of the Phase II project cooperation agreement, the joint venture will increase the production and sales of RRPS and Yuchai brand series of diesel engines for power generation, and expand their applications in oil and gas fields and other fields. The Phase II project is expected to be put into production in the second half of 2025. After the expansion of the Phase II project, Yuchai Anteyou's product spectrum is richer, the scope of application is wider, the company has more opportunities to participate in market competition, and the prospects are brighter.
