October 17, 2023, Shanxi, China, On October 6th, the first monocrystalline silicon rod from Sany Silicon Energy Co., Ltd. in Shuozhou was successfully produced, marking the official commencement of production and injecting robust momentum into the future industrial-scale deployment. The production of the first monocrystalline silicon rod also lays a solid foundation for manufacturing high-quality products with low oxygen and low carbon content.
The N-type 10-inch monocrystalline silicon rod developed by Sany Silicon Energy Shuozhou Co., Ltd. is primarily used for the production of large-sized, high-efficiency solar photovoltaic cells. The successful production of the first monocrystalline silicon rod is characterized by a short production cycle, precise control of the rod's diameter, excellent electrical properties, and industry-leading levels in terms of production technology, quality, and scale. This achievement aids in accelerating the cultivation of a billion-dollar new energy industry cluster in Shuozhou.
It is worth noting that in early May, after the establishment of the Sany Silicon Energy Shuozhou project in the Pinglu Economic and Technological Development Zone, local government departments at the municipal and district levels in Shuozhou strengthened the provision of essential resources. They expedited the supply of land for the project, improved supporting facilities such as roads and power supply, and successfully ignited the first monocrystalline furnace on September 28th. By October 6th, the first monocrystalline silicon rod was officially in production, achieving high-quality and high-standard production in just 148 days.
Upon full completion and production, the project is expected to generate annual operating revenue exceeding ¥2 billion, contribute over ¥300 million in annual tax revenue, and provide employment for nearly a thousand people. The project holds significant importance in further optimizing the industrial structure, raising the level of the industry, and promoting the high-quality development of the photovoltaic industry. It is estimated that by 2025, after full production, the project will achieve annual operating revenue exceeding ¥10 billion.
