August 30, 2023, Australia, Tadano is one of the largest importers and distributors of premium lifting equipment in Australia, providing diverse products and services to industries such as mining, construction, and civil engineering. Their offerings include all-terrain cranes, rough terrain cranes, aerial work platforms, city cranes, loaders, lattice boom crawler cranes, telescopic crawler cranes, and truck cranes.
Traditionally, Tadano's service vehicles consisted of multi-functional vans. However, according to Michael Kobilke, the Oceania Customer Service Project Manager at Tadano, the company recently broke from tradition and acquired four Iveco Daily vehicles, including three vans and one chassis cab, to replace their existing service vehicles.
The cargo volume of the Iveco Daily is 12 cubic meters, providing spacious room for shelving and workbenches. The Daily can accommodate technicians standing at around 6 feet 2 inches (188 cm) tall to perform various required tasks. The vehicle's Gross Vehicle Mass (GVM) is 4,495 kilograms, with a larger payload compared to standard multi-functional vans.
The model has a maximum braked towing capacity of up to 3,500 kilograms, capable of towing service trailers loaded with materials essential for on-site services, including oil and lubricants, compressors, oil pumps, and waste oil containers.
The Iveco Daily is also equipped with an inverter, enabling technicians to power sensitive equipment like computer systems. Additionally, the model provides both interior and exterior lighting, facilitating more convenient and safe work after dark.
