August 4, 2023, Inner Mongolia, Recently, the first XCA900L8 crane from XCMG's "Transformers" series of large-tonnage cranes made its debut in the G65 Baoma Expressway expansion project in Jiuyuan District, Baotou City, Inner Mongolia. With its advantage of a 105-meter longest main arm, the XCA900L8 successfully completed the lifting operation, spanning four lanes, at the construction site.
During the "first lift" project of the first XCA900L8 crane in the country, the operation took two days, with a radius of 32 meters and a lifting weight of 60 tons. The task required completing the construction without compromising safety and hindering the passage of vehicles. The site had limited space, but the XCA900L8 effortlessly handled the high-altitude scattered lifting. Its main arm capacity covers lifting loads up to one hundred meters and below, equivalent to the height of a 33-story building, significantly improving construction efficiency.
The XCA900L8 from XCMG not only demonstrated powerful lifting performance on the truck but also showcased excellent bearing capacity and stability when offloading. With eight axles, it boasts stronger load-carrying capacity while maintaining superior flexibility compared to industry-standard seven-axle products. After its first show, the XCA900L8 carried a weight of 190 tons during transportation, remaining stable and dependable.
The overall operation was smooth, efficient, and precise, with a good feel. The XCA900L8 offers three combinations of leg spans, three super-lifting extension angles, and three counterweight carrying positions, allowing it to adapt quickly to various complex construction sites with excellent site adaptability.
