SANY obtained UL Solutions certification

June 30, 2023, China, SANY Heavy Energy has recently obtained the prestigious UL Solutions certification for its 5MW wind turbine unit. The certification was issued by UL Solutions, a global safety science expert. Nivedh, the Wind Energy Asia Pacific Regional Engineering Manager at UL Solutions, and Yang Huaiyu, the Dean of SANY Heavy Energy Research Institute, participated in the certification ceremony.

Yang Huaiyu expressed great honor in collaborating with UL Solutions in the field of turbine unit certification. He also hoped that this opportunity would allow SANY Heavy Energy to showcase the excellent performance and reliability of its wind turbine units. With the national "30/60" dual-carbon goals and the development of the "Belt and Road" initiative, SANY Heavy Energy aims to expand its presence globally.

On the same day, UL Solutions also granted SANY Heavy Energy the qualification as a collaborative laboratory.

Nivedh stated that through the recent collaborative projects, they were delighted to establish a collaborative laboratory with SANY Heavy Energy. The signing of the collaborative laboratory agreement enables both parties to engage in long-term cooperation in areas such as standard interpretation, personnel capacity building, and research and development projects.

SANY Heavy Energy emphasized that under the IEC RE system, the establishment of its own laboratory has provided greater development opportunities. The collaboration with UL Solutions' laboratory offers reliable experimental support in laboratory standard cooperation, R&D design verification, and turbine performance evaluation, thus enhancing the core competitiveness of its turbine units.
