National Fuel Cell Technology Innovation Center officially launched

August 29, 2022, Shandong, China, On August 27, the official launch of the National Fuel Cell Technology Innovation Center and the delivery ceremony of 200 units Weichai hydrogen fuel cell commercial vehicles was held in Weifang, Shandong.

Since 2010, Weichai has invested 4 billion yuan to deploy new energy business. Especially in terms of fuel cells, it has strategically invested in Ballard hydrogen fuel cells in Canada, Ceres solid oxide fuel cells in the United Kingdom, and flying air compressors in Switzerland. On April 16, 2021, the National Fuel Cell Technology Innovation Center was unveiled in Jinan. Weichai Power has done a lot of fruitful work and built the world's largest R&D and manufacturing base for 20,000 units hydrogen fuel cell engines. A large number of breakthroughs with completely independent intellectual property rights have been achieved in terms of fuel cell R&D and industrialization.

The ceremony marks that the National Fuel Cell Technology Innovation Center has entered a new high-speed development track. In the future development, Weichai will rely on the National Fuel Cell Technology Innovation Center, with an open and cooperative attitude, gather domestic and foreign industry-university-research innovation resources, accelerate technological breakthroughs in the entire fuel cell industry chain, and further improve key core technical indicators and contribute to the realization of the "Dual Carbon" goals!
