Xiamen first rechargeable muck truck put into operation

July 18, 2022, Xiamen, China, On July 11, Xiamen King Long United Automobile Industry Co., Ltd. invited Xiamen Construction Waste Station, Xiamen Municipal Construction Waste Industry Association, and Fujian Xingruicheng Construction Engineering Co., Ltd. to attend the launch ceremony of the trial operation of the first electric muck truck.

The first electric muck truck produced by King Long was officially delivered to the construction waste transportation enterprise and put into production and operation, which marked that the pilot work of the electric muck truck in Xiamen has entered a new stage of development.

The biggest constraints to the large-scale application of electric muck trucks are the limited battery capacity and the long charging time, which cannot meet the requirements of long-distance driving and frequent attendance. In response to the needs, Xiamen King Long has launched a power exchange mode that separates the power from the electric muck truck, and set up charging piles in combination with the parking lot, which basically satisfies the daily operation of the electric muck truck.

According to the plan, 5 units electric muck trucks will be put into trial operation before the end of this month, and a total of 150-200 units electric muck trucks will be fully put into transportation and production in Xiamen by the end of the year.

In the next step, Xiamen plans to set up 1 to 2 large-scale construction waste resource utilization plants with "three-in-one" functions (waste soil transfer, resource utilization and new energy exchange power stations) in various districts outside the island to promote the seamless connection of muck transportation, transfer and consumption with new energy muck trucks charging, provide green transportation escort for Xiamen's urban construction and help Xiamen win the battle to defend the blue sky and white clouds.
