Geely New Energy Vehicle Project Settled in Haikou National High-tech Zone

June 10, 2022, Hainan, China, On June 8, Haikou National High-tech Zone signed a cooperation agreement with Geely New Energy Commercial Vehicle Group, planning to build a Geely new energy special vehicle project in Haikou National High-tech Zone.

It is reported that after the project is completed, it will become the first new energy special vehicle project in Hainan Province and will be complemented with ecological projects such as charging, battery replacement and operation.

Hainan Province is the first island economy in the world to propose a clean energy vehicle development strategy. In the next step, all departments of Haikou National High-tech Zone will combine their own functions and give full play to their roles, provide comprehensive guarantee services for the project to take effect, and promote the development of Hainan's new energy vehicle industry with efficient and practical measures.

Geely Holding Group pooled resource advantages and established Geely New Energy Commercial Vehicle Group in 2014. In 2016, the new energy commercial vehicle brand Farizon New Energy Commercial Vehicle was officially launched. Geely New Energy Commercial Vehicle Group is the first commercial vehicle group in China to focus on the new energy field. At present, it has covered five product lines of heavy trucks, light trucks, small and micro trucks, LCVs and buses. The leading position of Farizon new energy commercial vehicles in the automobile market has been initially formed.
