November 18, 2021, Xiangyang, China, On November 16, Dongfeng Cummins Engine Co., Ltd. heavy-duty engine production line construction project groundbreaking ceremony was held in “legend” assembly line construction site.

In the past three years, Dongfeng Cummins has gained fruitful results, with product sales volume and value reaching 200,000+ units and RMB10 billion +. This is the result of all employees’ effort.

Faced with next Three-year Plan, “312” strategy, Dongfeng Cummins plans to produce more than 300,000 units engine and AMT. Supports for the realize of the strategy still lie in product, manufacture and market, and production line is the main body of manufacture and important milestone of “312” strategy goals.

It is introduced that Dongfeng Cummins heavy-duty engine production line construction project consists of “legend” machine line and assembly line. The assembly line factory, with an area of 24,330 square meters, took 2 years and 4 months from planning to completion and is expected to operate in the first quarter of 2023. After completion, it will be compatible with the production of engines with six models and seven displacements. The planned annual production capacity of the first phase of the new workshop is 80,000 units, and a certain amount of room for capacity improvement is reserved at the same time.
