Volvo Trucks I-Save System Reduces Fuel Consumption by 10%

November 16, 2021, Shanghai, China, On November 6, Volvo Trucks made the Chinese debut of its flagship FH heavy-duty truck to be produced locally at the 4th China Import International Expo. The upgraded FH series models will be equipped with an I-Save system consisting of TC compound turbocharged engine, I-See predictive cruise system and I-Shift gearbox, which can help Chinese customers reduce fuel consumption by another 10%.
Recently, with the implementation of Euro VI emission standards, Volvo Trucks has upgraded its 11-liter and 13-liter engines. While improving the fuel economy of the vehicle, its driving control has also been further improved.
The FH models released at this CIIE have further reduced carbon emissions and impact to environment. Volvo Trucks plans to achieve 50% electrification of trucks by 2030, and achieve the goal of all non-fossil fuels by 2040. In the future, Volvo Trucks will share advanced energy technology achievements with the Chinese market through local production to promote high-quality and sustainable development of China's logistics.
