BYD First Batch Port Tractors Without Cabin Went Offline

November 15, 2021, Changsha, China, On November 11, BYD first batch of port tractors without cabin went offline in Changsha, which marked a new chapter for BYD in electric special purpose vehicle and an important step towards intelligent drive truck.
The offline port tractor is not only a significant result of strategic cooperation between BYD and Yunshan Technologies, but also another breakthrough in new energy heavy-duty truck field. The tractor’s appearance, third-class chassis and other core technologies were self-developed by BYD, with dimensions of 6495×2550×2045mm, wheel base of 3550mm and maximum standard tractive tonnage of 31.5t.
With new design on platform, 282kWh lithium iron phosphate battery, 210kw+4 AMT, high and low voltage all-in-one electric control system, power battery thermal management system and other technologies, the tractor can work efficiently and meet port daily work demands with high safety and quick response.
In the future, BYD will cooperate with more partners to provide intelligent vehicles and integral solutions for commercial vehicle industry’s automatic drive and achieve efficient ecological development in the new era.
