600 Units Foton Hydrogen Fuel Buses to Serve for Winter Olympics

September 6, 2021, Beijing, China, It is known that about 600 units Foton hydrogen fuel buses will serve in the approaching Winter Olympics. And the buses can start in -35℃ and be stored in -40℃, and the consumption of hydrogen is about 6kg/100km.
 

In 2016, Foton signed 100 units hydrogen fuel buses orders and started business operation. Two years later, the first batch of 49 units hydrogen fuel buses were delivered to Zhangjiakou to serve for the green Winter Olympics. Foton plans to make layout in hydrogen fuel business vehicle whole series, including buses, light-, medium- and heavy-duty trucks.

However, hydrogen fuel vehicles are still at the initial stage. Insiders noted that the life span of hydrogen fuel vehicles will be longer in the future and heavy-duty trucks’ life span is expected to reach 40,000 hours. Besides, engine power, hydrogen storage efficiency and fuel consumption will be optimized to decrease customers’ operation costs.
