July 23, 2021, Shanghai, China, On July 21, 2021 Volvo Car APEC sustainability tech forum was held in Shanghai.
As a cooperative partner of Volvo, ZF always sticks to sustainable development strategy and displayed “manufacture” and “light-weight” latest technology and products. Under the premise of high stability, security, comfortability and maneuverability, Volvo adopts advanced manufacture technologies to repair and remold old components to largely increase cost-effectiveness; and the light-weight design can effectively decrease energy consumption and carbon emission.
ZF remanufacture project provides remanufacture not only for passenger and commercial vehicles’ components and single elements, but also non-road vehicles, including but not limited to passenger vehicle steering system, automatic transmission, electromechanical control unit, brake caliper, commercial vehicle steering system, axle, manual and automatic transmission, etc.
ZF second generation integrated brake control system IBC2 has lower weight by over 20% compared with the first generation and has strong braking energy recovery abilities. ZF EPB also adopts light-weight and low drag design, which can effectively decrease energy consumption and carbon dioxide emission.
In the future, ZF Group will play an active role in sustainable development, move forward driven by “zero emission and zero accident”, and assists China and the whole world to achieve “carbon neutrality” goal.
