Another 7 Yuchai State-Ⅵ Engine Successfully Ignited

 www.chinaspv.com: Following the successful ignition of four state-Ⅵ in the beginning of April, Yuchai successfully ignited seven more State-Ⅵ engines in its testing center on July 13. Hence, Yuchai has already had a total State-Ⅵ engine of about 10 to compete with other international leading brands in the globe. After testing, the seven engines all have better performance than their same kinds of international brand and this is a big step forward in its internationalization.

The seven engines include K11, K5, 4Y30, S06 diesel engines, K13N, S04N and 6JAN gas engines. These products combine the global state-of-art combustion technologies, thus have strong power, good performance in fuel consumption and NVH, and high reliability. The engines cover 115-580hpw, suitable for various vehicles such as buses, trucks, heavy engineering trucks, etc.

K13N, S04N and 6JAN gas engines introduce the international mainstream system of equivalent combustion + three-way catalyst + EGR system. In the meantime, it uses the international advanced single point continuous flow injection system and self-developed integrated intake mixed measurement module, making control more accurate and enabling engine making good balance in terms of economy and emission.

It is learnt that Yuchai has invested 5 billion RMB in R&D of State-Ⅵ engines to upgrade hardware, software and platform. Starting from State-Ⅵ engines, Yuchai will re-build the production system, quality system, R&D system, procurement system and process, based on international advanced level and try to march into the world’s top class enterprises in 2020. Hence, Yuchai attracts many senior experts in the field of R&D, quality, supply chain and HR from Toyota, Honda, Cummins and other international enterprises to help Yuchai create international competitive products and a management system for these products.

At the ignition ceremony, Yan Ping, Chairman of Yuchai, stresses R&D of State-Ⅵ engine is an inevitable way and remarkable strategic measure for Yuchai to catch up with the world’s top level. Yuchai will consolidate effective resources to safeguard R&D of China-6 and overcome obstacles in R&D in strict accordance to high standard and requirements.
