Yuchai Group Qualified the First Engine Producer with Euro Ⅵ in China

www.chinabspv.com: On 17 June 2014, Yuchai YC6L-60 engines successfully passed through E/e-mark certificate and Yuchai Group is the first domestic engine producer obtaining Euro Ⅵ certificate, opening the way to European and American market with products made in China.

As far as back to end June 2011, YC6L-60 engines were developed, the first domestic diesel engines for vehicles, complying with Euro Ⅵ emission standard while many European engine suppliers remain research and development. According to the testing by National Passenger Car Quality Supervision and Inspection Center, ESC index of YC6L-60 low than the required limit for Euro Ⅵ. YC6L-60 adopts low-temperature combustion technical route with complete intellectual property rights, serial two-staged charging system, medium intensity exhaust gas recirculation technology and effectively clean combustion through the strategic control of high-pressure common-rail fuel injection system, so that the original exhaust closes to Euro V without the filtering of the post-treatment system. Moreover, the cleaned emission gas lows than the requirement of Euro VI. Such models make several technical breakthroughs with the development for four years, promoting the technology of engines in China.

Euro V emission regulation is considered as one of the most strict rules for vehicles, in effective since 2015 in EU. This certification of YC6L-60 invited experts form VCA and the general engineer from ORD and the testing contains basic emission, OBD, on-board emission and freezing experiment. The obtaining of certificate sets stages for not only the performance of Yuchai engines in the international market, but also the ambitious development of Yuchai, ahead of European and American engine producers as a Chinese maker, marking the world level of its development and technology management .
