SG Automotive Invests 1.4b Yuan to Build New-energy Automobile Industry Base

www.chinaspv.com: SG Automotive announced that it planed to implement removal of Huanghai for building new-energy automobile industry base project. The overall investment of the project is 1.402 billion Yuan, which is to achieve annual capability of 5,500 medium or high end new-energy buses and 45,000 SUV or pickups.

This project is to be located in Port Industrial Zone Equipment Manufacturing Zone of Dandong city. New requisition of land is 1,371Mu, new built plant and ancillary facility is 182,600㎡, and new assembly/coating/welding production line and vehicle electrophoresis are planned. Thus, annual manufacturing capability would be 5,500 medium or high end new-energy buses and 45,000 SUV/pickups. It is expected to be into production before the end of October of 2014.

This main part of investment is Dandong Huanghai Automotive Co., Ltd, a subsidy of SG Automotive. The overall investment is 1.402 billion Yuan, consisting of building investment of 0.979 billion Yuan and circulating fund of 0.423 billion Yuan. The investment is raised by Huanghai itself. It is learned that Dandong Huanghai is one of the major bus manufacturing enterprises in China. It has developed various new-energy buses, such as hybrid urban bus, electric bus, super-capacitor urban bus, and LNG/CNG bus.
