Beidou Navigation Satellite System Officially Into On-board Use

www.chinaspv.com: In August 26th, Beidou navigation into on-board use experience for a week was held grandly which was the first 1-week activity by domestic independent navigation system. Guided by CSNO (short for China Satellite Navigation Office) and held by both China Beidou Navigation On-board Application union   and Kovan International Co., Ltd, this activity for a week gets lots of support from many experts and dealers of domestic Beidou satellite navigation system.

Since Beidou navigation system provides regional service officially in 2012, relative enterprises in China accelerate their R & D process of Beidou on-board navigation system as well as master completely core technology of proprietary intellectual property rights based upon Beidou on-board union  . After use by users of different levels and optimization, Beidou on-board navigation system in this activity is of excellent performance and compatible with the current widely used GPS navigation system in the market. If it is set in the dual mode of Beidou and GPS, users can enjoy over 16 satellites and get better navigation service even in the urban areas with skyscrapers.

Li Zuhong, builder and deputy general designer of Beidou satellite navigation system, stated that Beidou system gets into use in the biggest auto and mobile market of the world which would make more users experience the perfect combination of on-board navigation and auto electrics. Furthermore, it can promote the domestic using of Beidou navigation system and realize the goal of promotion in global market in 2020.

In several dealers’ place in Beijing, we found out that Beidou navigation system had already developed over 200 kinds of Beidou on-board navigation products on more than 150 kinds of vehicles of home and abroad and began to sell in over 1,000 terminal markets and 4S stores in Beijing, Guangdong, Anhui and Shandong. What’s more, Kovan International, which has been dedicating itself to R & D of on-board audio and video system and navigation system promotion, would hold more 20 promotional activities around China in the second half of 2013.

Apart from Beidou on-board navigation system launched completely, relative national systems are trying to building Beidou foundation net to connect with aerial Beidou system. Thus, precise navigation in meters can be provided to the public. According to some staff in Kovan, Beidou navigation would provide service in lanes in the future.
