Beidou Navigation Satellite System Equips 170 Transporters

www.chinaspv.com: It is learned that according to regulations released by Ministry of Transport and Department of Transport, all the new or renewed passenger transport buses, dangerous material transport buses, heavy trucks and semi trailers must be equipped with Beidou compatible vehicle terminal. Otherwise no Road Transport Certificate would be issued or verified to those vehicles.

In order to achieve installation of Beidou vehicle navigation satellite system, Heibei Qian’an Transport Department made a detailed implementation plan and made the arrangement by a conference. Meanwhile, it organized to distribute promotional material in the vehicle comprehensive performance testing station and freight management office to spread Beidou navigation satellite system and relative policy and inform vehicle owners of penalty. By now, with positive negotiation and enhancing equipment installation, 170 vehicle, including 157 heavy freight trucks over 8t, 5 new passenger transport bus and 8 dangerous material transport vehicles, are all equipped with Beidou navigation satellite system.

Beidou navigation satellite system is our domestic independent strategic project and one of 16 technological major projects. Beidou navigation system in operation of transport industry is not only good for enhancing industry safety inspection, emergency dealing ability and modern management, but also means a lot to Beidou system industrialization and sustainable development. Beidou navigation system will ensure safe driving and safety on the road for vehicles.
