Almost 10,000 Beidou Vehicle Terminals Installed in Guizhou

www.chinaspv.com :On June 18th, 2013, it is learned that from Guizhou Road Transport Bureau that by May 31st, 9310 Beidou vehicle terminals have been installed in Guizhou, more than the original installation task of 7500 by Department of Transportation. The application of Beidou satellite navigation was put into a smooth promotion.
Beidou navigation satellite system is China’s independent BDS, which is the third mature satellite navigation system after American GPS and Russian GLONASS. On December 27th, 2012, Beidou navigation officially provided its service including passive location, navigation and time service, which meant the system was finished its basic construction.
On January 14th, 2013, Department of Transportation accelerated its Beidou navigation application, which required 2 years to establish 7 application systems and 1 set of support platform with 80,000 Beidou terminals installation. The installation areas included Jiangsu, Anhui, Hebei, Shaanxi, Shandong, Hunan, Ningxia, Guizhou and Tijian these nine regions.
As the only site in the Southwest of China of Beidou navigation satellite system, Guizhou has completed its almost 10,000 vehicle terminals installation rather than required. Hence, this smooth process would enhance public freight platform and some related work comprehensively.
