LNG Vehicles Still Remain Advantages

Date:2013-07-03 Source:www.chinaspv.com

www.chinaspv.com:NDRC decides to raise prices of natural gas in non-household use since July 10th, 2013. As for this, Wang Xiaokun, analyst of SCI, holds the idea that even if the price of natural gas rises 0.6 yuan per cubic meter which all goes into LNG vehicles, LNG still remains its advantage compared with diesel.

This price changing of natural gas in non-household use divides natural gas into inventory gas and increment gas. The increasing per cubic meter in the inventory gas station is no more than 0.4 yuan, in which gas for fertilizer increases no more than 0.25 yuan. Increment gas price in the gas station can be 85% of the alternative energy (including fuel oil (4744,0.00,0.00%), and LPG). After price changing, national average gas price in the gas stations rises to 1.95 yuan per cubic meter from 1.69 yuan.

According to Wang Xiaokun, taking oil tank truck as an example, the present standard diesel price in Beijing is 7.51 yuan per liter. The average oil consumption is 32 liters per hundred kilometers, and the cost will be 240.3 yuan. If using LNG as the fuel, the average consumption is about 32kg per hundred kilometers, and the cost will be 185.6 yuan based on 5.8 yuan per cubic meter of LNG in Beijing. If natural gas wellhead rises 0.6 yuan per cubic meter, then, the price of LNG rises 0.9 yuan per kg. Thus, the cost per hundred kilometers is 214.4 yuan, which is still cheaper 25.9 yuan per hundred kilometers than diesel.
